Our Horses

Jupiter

Jupiter has been at Mountain View for about a year and a half. She was surrendered to us because the other two horses in her herd were beating her up and not allowing her to eat.

When a new horse arrives, it takes several weeks or months (depending on the horse) for them to feel safe, comfortable and settled. Because of this, we do not start working with them under saddle until they are comfortable in their new home.

We were not sure what Jupiter knew. The first few times we worked with her, this tricky girl convinced us that she did not know anything. However, Jupiter’s first owner reached out to us and informed us of her past and her extensive training. Once we knew how well trained she was we were able to allow her to shine and impress us all!
